Specific wheels with offsets and tires

I’ve been racking my brain for a couple weeks trying to get some wheels and tires. Been reading the lift tire central thread. Although it’s super awesome and helped me decide on my lift, it’s left me confused on which wheels and offsets.

Can you guys post up your specific wheels, I.E. brand, size, and offsets? Stating with what tire combo you’re running and any rubbing issues.

I’ll have my Bilstein 5100’s and Toytec eibach coils front and 1/2” spacers(3” lift) and their super flex coils for the rear (2”). Along with a 1/4” spacer front driver and .4” OME spacer for driver rear.

Just spent a couple hours in my local tire shop trying to get some wheels and maybe more confused as far as what width and offset combo without creating too much issues. My stock are 17”x7-1/2”. Was looking for 8”-8.5” rims and a 265/70R/17 to a 275/70R/17. Most wheels I’m seeing are 17x9” and some 17x8-8.5”. I’d be afraid I’d have too many issues with the 285’s with the mild lift I’m doing.

I want to get some orders today or
Tomorrow and would make it a lot easier if I knew which exact wheel and offset to buy instead of guessing or trying to visualize and hope they work out once they arrive.

To give you some idea - I'm going to 285/70R17s soon with a ~2.5"/1.5" Dobinsons lift. Was originally gonna go with 17x8 0 offset but ran into a cheap set of 5th gen trail wheels which are 17x7.5 +15 offset. This would typically probably be enough but I have an additional area of interference to worry about in my JBA UCAs - so I'll be installing Spidertrax 1.25" spacers to create bit more space.

For you, pick a tire size you want first - 285 may work if you can push the caster forward with a set of UCAs - if you're not doing that I'd probably stick to 275. Then, look at how much more clearance you'll need to fit additional tires.

Which wheels/styles are you looking at?

I’m not looking to install new UCA’s so I’d like to go with the 275/70/17 if I can clear them.

Been looking for a decent set of black wheels, nothing fancy around the $150-$170 mark. Initially looking at the Helo 828 or the rock trix RT107 but are 17x9. A couple I looked at today were alright and in my price range. They were the ultra motor sports Mavericks in 17x8 234-235 and the pacer 166SB Nighthawks in 17x8.5 (I believe). There were others that were in the budget and would do but most are 17x9.

I was hoping to get the offset without having to buy spacers. I’d like them to stick out a little but for more stability with the lift I’m adding but not too much to where it creates excessive problems with rubbing.

I'd maybe look at Discount Tire's Level 8 branded wheels at that price range - I like the MK6 and they come in 17x8 and 0 or -10 offset. 0 would work fine for you.

Thank you again for the advice. I went ahead and orderEd the MK6 17x8 0 offset in GM Grey and some Falken A/T 3W 275/70R/17. Going to put 3”/2” Bilsteins/Toytec & super flex on tomorrow and hope to be able to post up in the lift/tire central early next week. I appreciate your advice in my last couple threads!
