I haven't gotten the sub yet. It will depend if im getting a 2 or 4 ohms amp. I really don't need anything crazy as this is just an 8" subwoofer. I just want to fill out the sound. I know it's not going vibrate the truck.

Hi, i haven't chosen a sub yet. I am waiting on what I'm going to get in terms of amp for 2 or 4 ohms. It's only an 8 " sub so im not expecting earth shattering sounds but i want to fill out the sound.

Just what I would do if I was only doing a mono amp and sub I think. The first 2 subs should fit i believe and the third is a shallow mount so def will fit.

AMP
Kicker 46CXA400.1T CX Series mono subwoofer amplifier — 400 watts RMS x 1 at 1 ohm at Crutchfield

SUB
Kicker 44CWCD84 CompC Series 8" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils at Crutchfield

Kicker CompR 43CWR84 CompR Series 8" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils at Crutchfield

Kicker CompRT 43CWRT81 CompRT shallow-mount 8" subwoofer with dual 1-ohm voice coils at Crutchfield

150 watts should be fine but if you wanna bump it up to 300 just get the 2 ohm version of those subs.

Thanks so much for the information. I was looking at a used Alpine MRD-M300 for 50$ CAD in great shape but since you gave me these options, i might just wait a bit and pay more for better matching equipment.

Hey if it works might worth picking up and could still use it with one of those subs. Ive never had a ticket myself but heard good things. Im between getting Kicker or JL audio myself but Ill be using a 5 channel amp since doing the speakers also.

I went for it. I ordered
Kicker 46CXA400.1T amp
Kicker CompRT 43CWRT81 sub

Im going to run the sub dual voice coils in series to get 2ohms. Also the amp is a better fit for the enclosure. Can i just screw it into the plastic as i know the mounting holes with definitely not line up.

Hey I haven't been in there to look at it yet, but do you all think that with a little massaging and fabrication a 10" Sub would go into the enclosure?

No answer at all? That's unusual.

WOW, you need to have a little patience and give those who maybe able to answer your question time to even see your post. it's only been a little over 24 hours since you posted and not every member here can answer your question, also these are trying times with what all is happening in the world and this country and many members are most likely not visiting the forum since many have had their normal day to day life turned upside down if not worst!

No.

You'd have to make an absolute mess of the original enclosure, you'd be better off starting from scratch with MDF

I finally had the chance install the amp and the sub. It was a long process but if you're patient it comes out well. The only problem I had was that the amp I used (Kicker 46CXA400.1T amp) was great for size but was too deep. That in turn made the top clip not connect too well. I also had to shave one tab on the cover panel. Still a great little amp and the gap is minimal.

Hey man how did that Kicker CompRT 43CWRT81 sub fit in the stock enclosure?

Looking to get that but crutchfeild said it was too high and might hit the stock panel

I just installed kicker comp 8in shallow in the stock sub box yesterday. You just have to align the sub as centered as you can when you screw down the sub. I looked thru the grill and the speaker rib are cleared. There is a slight gap between the panel and sub. I`d say 1/16th
