For that first photo, I don't know how you made it to the gas station!!

That being said you need to be careful to not put too much in the tank/filler neck or you risk over filling it and contaminating the evaporation system...i.e. the charcoal canister, which is expensive to replace.

I understand there is supposed to gas left in the tank to cool the pump. But it still doesn’t explain why mine stops at 16 gallons and everyone else’s seems to stop at about 20.
