Auto on headlights on lock/unlock stopped working

I've had my 06 Sport for about 5 years and every time I've locked or unlocked the truck with my fob the parking lights flash and the headlights come on for about 30 seconds. However. I just noticed today the headlights no longer come on for 30 seconds, or at all, after locking or unlocking the truck. They do work fine when I turn them on and drive.

Has anyone else had this happen? I always thought this was a nice feature and want to get it back if possible. Any suggestions?

Hmm...I don’t recall my headlights ever coming on with the fob. Maybe it’s one of those “hidden options”? The only thing I use daily is after I turn off the truck and I lock it with the fob they stay on for a bit then turn off by themselves. I can force them off if I lock it twice.

Well, mine did it when locking (like you described for yours) and also when I unlocked. Now, it doesn't do either.

An easy check would be to make sure all the doors are in fact locking. If an actuator was stuck I could see where it might not work properly.

I'll try that when I get home, but normally if I try to lock the truck with a door not fully closed the truck makes a lot of noise. I'm assuming this would also be true with a stuck actuator, but who knows.

I've already made certain my gas cap is on tightly, lol!

Fairly certain my 07 has never done this. My wife's odyssey does it though.

Yours is not the first to reply that their T4R didn't do the 30 second headlight thing, but I am not imagining it. Maybe mine just figured out it isn't supposed to light up.

All doors and the back hatch lock and unlock properly, so that's not the bugger. It's something unique to the headlights, though, because the interior (dome) lights still do their thing.
