AKKON LED STRIP HEADLIGHTs

Headlights have LED strip built in. I have 04 4Runner, but been running 06-09 headlights for 3 years. Just used my bumper DRL's and trying to figure out how to wire LED strips. I saw where you can mod DRL's to always on, but don't want the LED flashing for turn signal as it's white and pretty sure signals need to be amber. Anyone have some ideas on an easy way to wire up the LED strips. Should I just use a lightbar wire kit and switch in a knockout? I don't mind my DRL's in the bumper staying operational, but can't seem to figure out how to wire since they are also turn signals. Thanks in advance....

I had to do something similar when I upgraded lights in an Accord years ago. Use a relay to have the DRL's come on when key is 'on.' Now most cars keep the DRL's off until the car is out of Park, but this won't work like that and they will be on when the key is on.

Other option is to find the DRL fuse and use that for the relay and see if it cuts on/off for turn signals.

your 04 uses the bumper DRLs for turn signals? I didnt know the early models did that.

I have these on my 08, the strip is only DRL, there is a separate blinker bulb socket

I have these on my '07, the LED strip runs off the original marker light connector; I also use Lasfit LED's and a resistor for the turn signal bulbs. You need to direct wire the strips to your marker light wire some how.

Do you want to run those strips like factory DRLs, where they totall shut off when the parking lights or headlights are on?
