CO 4runners
I've created a post in off-road, go introduce yourself and your T4R if you want to join.
This website is great for information on all things 4runners, I've notice several profiles with CO as a location. I've been in CO for a few years, but have only ran a handful of trails that this state has to offer. I was wondering if anyone in CO, would be interested in starting a little T4R CO group? This group would be for all year 4runners, and could be used to set up trail rides with anyone willing to get dirty, Need help installing that lift or new bumper? throw a wrenching party (I like working/modifying cars and have a garage that can be used) Want to get out of the house and talk shop? Set a Meet & Greet at your favorite brewery and watch the parking lot fill with 4runner after 4runner. I've been apart of several jeep clubs in the past, and I've had just as much fun helping someone install a new bumper as I did waiting for my turn to crawl over a 4' boulder on the trail.

A small 4runner specific group would be nice for this area. I just moved back here from school in Salt Lake City. The FB group I am a part of over there definitely seems a lot more active and connected than the CO Toyota 4X4 group here. I'm not complaining though, I'm just glad that there is a larger group to be a part of.
A more Denver area based group would be nice so that everyone is pretty close to each other.
I'm in Littleton too, Santa Fe & Mineral area. I have a few friends with 4Runners and Tacomas in Fort Collins. We do all of our own work when we can and try to get out when we have free time!

Damn. I’d be down but I moved out of CO a year ago. However, I will be driving back to visit some friends. So would always be willing to meet up if something is going on while I’m there.

There use to be lots of Toyota groups/ clubs in the denver area, most of them started filling up with people not in the metro area, so they eventually close.
Then have people join just to join and never wheel, then ya have the transplants that even after being told about wheeling and drinking or drugs, they dont listen and worse, continuously drive off trail.
These are the issues in the past I've seen from many groups, it's a great idea and yes it can work but people get butthurt when they are asked not to join them anymore lol.
We could make it work.

I don't think I've ever been a part of a group/club that didn't have some if not all the issues you described above.
Some of the issues i've seen on the trail can be fixed by limiting the number of rigs per trail ride. If you really need to go off trail for the best scenery/flex pics, then you aren't on the right trail.
Meet and greets are a good way to meet the people you'll be on the trail with. It will only be as fun and successful as the people who are actually participating.

I honestly think its worth another shot, we would have to have some sort of rules, and they would have to be enforced for sure.
Every group or club starts out with great intentions but seems to let people slide and that in turn, turns people off and they start leaving or not being a part of the group anymore.
We had a small but great group years ago, a great group of guys that just loved wheeling, wrenching and modding rigs, that actually cared about our trails and we never left a trail with any empty trash bags lol. Most got married and started families, moved away or got other hobbies, so it slowly died out.
We was pretty open to who wheeled with us, but told them straight up, no drugs, no alcohol, stay on the trail and if you see any trash, just stop and pick it up..
Id like to get in another group like that, and Im willing to help get it going.

@ 04rnr
if you're really interested in joining/helping start one. go introduce yourself in the Off-road thread, and send me a PM with any ideas or rules you have. Any help in getting this going would be great, the weather is only going to get better as more trails open up.

Wasn't it you, that started this thread? My first thought was exactly what you said LOL..
If you have a group already started just share the link or group, post up the rules (if any) so people can see them before they sign up.
