does a queen size mattress fit?
My friend told me he put a queen mattress in diagonally in a suburban. Can a queen size mattress fit in the 4 runner with the seats down and the fronts scooted up?
Thanks

Don't know, but you could put a blowup mattress in there and have it inflate around everything, basically mold to anything where it wouldn't fit. I bought a queen air mattress off of Amazon a while back that you plug in and it airs itself up that I plan on using for BBQ contests this summer/fall. Should be nice.

that sounds like a good idea. But im really just trying to get the mattress from point A to B, not going to be laying on it, so my question is will i be able to jam it in any way with out having to bend the mattress too much?

I doubt it, that would be one flimsy mattress if so. Burbans are much bigger on inside than a runner.

Just the mattress or the box springs as well? I would think a queen would fit, with some bending, but you can't bend those box springs. A queen bed is 60" x 80", hang on, I'll go measure my 4R.

Yeah, if you get it in there, I'd like to see it. From what I measured, over the wheel well you are about 56-57" and length-wise, you MIGHT get it squeezed in, but you are going to be sitting with your chest against the steering wheel.

I doubt it, I don't think you could fit a full size in the 4Runner, sounds like roof rack for you

No way. I'm 6'1" and tried sleeping in the back. I fit fine, lengthwise, on a queen mattress, and had to sleep diagonal in the 4Runner. I doubt it will fit between the wheel wells, either.

Just throw it on the roof rack and use some good ratchet tie down straps.

THe airbedzz mattress fits pretty well. The "wings" on the front hit the wheel wells a tad as you can see in the picture but this does not affect the seating of the mattress. It also fits very well front to back. The battery powered air pump makes for super quick/convenient inflate/deflate and it also has a Boston valve for a hand pump in case the battery is dead. Pretty happy with it.

Your pictures are from a 5th gen, the 4th gen interior is quite different unfortunately
