Is my axle/cv bad?

I just got one side back together and when putting the UCA back together some grease oozed out of the CV boot. There are no tears. Is this happening because of the extreme angle and pushing the LCA down to get everything back together, or it time for replacement? I have 2 new axles since I need to replace the other side and one on my other car. I rather not replace if it doesn't need it.

I'd give it a good clean and monitor for additional leaking.

As long as it is not torn, do this (worm drive hose clamps). RockAuto has 'em too.
can cv axle boot clamps be retightened?
