LH/Driver side wiring harness HELP

So I have a 2005 4runner SR5 v6 and my father had poorly rigged up an amp and it melted the wiring harness between the two tail lights. Because of this, I don't have break lights, ECT. And I would love some help. I found the whole wiring harness, but it's $1000 not including the cost of labor. So if there's something fairly cheaper and reliable I would love to hear some options. Thank you!

Might help to take a picture and show if you're able too. A lot of us are in this area when we install back up cameras and splice it to the back up lights.

Without knowing exactly where the problem is, I might recommend looking for a "part out" or someone selling parts of a 4runner or junk yard. I imagine people would give it away pretty cheap for you to pull this if you can easily locate one
