Covid

Hope everyone is staying safe out there. Crazy times but I believe we took early action and are being careful (except Florida) to overcome this like we always do. I believe in the frequency rate and mindset of the pres 'not losing' too.

Im in MA, a heavier concentration amongst the country and our county has six confirmed, and im at work right now with skeleton crew (elec business) mom, sister, and girlfriend are RNs

stay safe out there everyone. hopefully we dont need to overland out of necessity soon.

Full stay at home order for the whole state of California. Prior to that, I was amazed at how easy I could get around with people voluntarily staying home. Hopefully we got a jump on this thing and can get it under control before too long. Some of my customers include railroads, hospitals, power companies and food processing plants, so my boss is trying to verify if that's enough to classify us as an essential business, since we are essential vendors for essential businesses which would mean I get to keep working. Best wishes to all of you on the forum during this time.

I'm in SoCal, they've said to prepare and assume for kids to be out of school until the end of the school year which is just crazy. I work at a Toyota dealer and are consider essential business so we are staying open, but we are shortening business hours since traffic has slowed down.

In Toronto Canada at this time.. lots of spots are closing up shop, all the essentials still open, stores for food etc... food spots only take out menu.. but all in all we are all just taking home more often and not really going out as all clubs , bars, theatres etc closed... we currently have 8 deaths in the province of 14.5 million... so not widespread but people are sick... about 4000 I think?

For Hawaii, specifically Oahu and Maui, the mayors posted a stay home / work home mandatory till April 30, except the essentials eff Mon 4:30pm.
We also will close off travelers from entering Hawaii on Thursday till further notice.

Its getting worse real quick.

We dont have any cases in our city of 50,000 but there are still those wearing gloves, stores are half full, takeout only, people are working from home, people look at you funny when you cough, the usual.

Can we still work on our trucks in our garage or is that f****g canceled too?

Sure, why not? (for now). My problem is that mine sleeps outside, so the question is, "Can I go to it ALONE and work on it?". I'm thinking if there is a lockdown, no.

Sure work on your projects, just dont hurt yourself, good luck getting into the hospital/ER.

We are so boned... Cheeto Mussalini says dont test everyone yet the infected dont have to have any fever, cough or headache?... Madness.

Rand Paul was just swimming and working out at the senate gym... felt fine... WTF?!
He tested positive.

The stockmarket has erased 20 years of gains.
The world is shut down...
except air?

Probably looking at 6+ months of this shit... if we are lucky.
You guys prepared for that?

Air traffic just a little while ago... HMMMM? wonder how this spreads?

On the plus side, I was able to get in and out pretty quickly for my alignment at Firestone after changing out my frozen LCAs/cam bolts this past weekend lol.

MA shut down non essential starting tomorrow. I work in office at lifesafety honeywell fire alarm company. like us, a lot of business are claiming theyre in any way essential, so regardless of the shutdown i will be here at the office this week. my boss just said i can take a vacation next week at least though.

**** it, ill take it and my chances $$ until everyone is on the same damn page i guess (this is what i tell myself to feel better. im wearing an n95 in the office today, right now)

My 2nd Cousin is a nurse at NYU. Her and her husband are in the trenches and this was forwarded by his mother. I feel we have to inform everyone of proper info from people in the trenches. Please share, stay healthy and safe. Good luck to us.
PSA - The CLOCK RESETS...
My son and his wife in NYC have asked me to forward this to my network. He works in the biology department at Columbia U. and my daughter-in-law Ėa nurse - is now working in NYU Medical Centerís ICU taking care of COVID-19 patients. Both of them were ADAMANT that we not leave our house/yard for ANY reason, and that we ask others not to cross our property line, and not to pet other peoplesí dogs, cats, etc. (Pets can be a vector for the virus.) They said for us to act as IF we already had the virus, and that everyone else does, too. I know this sounds paranoid, but Ė as so many of our local health care providers are as well - Tara and Will are both on the front lines and I respect their judgment.
They were very clear that Ė due to the insidious nature of this pathogen, and all that we donít know about it Ė know that if you go to the gas station Ė your 14 day clock RESETS. If you go to the grocery store, your 14-day clock RESETS. If you go to the post office Ė your 14-day clock RESETS. No exceptions. Even if you wear gloves and a mask. Try to get your groceries delivered, and left on your porch.
They said the ventilator shortage is real, and that doctors WILL need to make decisions as to who gets one and who doesnít. So donít expose yourself/the people you love unnecessarily, and letís not overwhelm the system. Stay in touch via social media and the good olí fashioned phone. And donít forget, if you come in contact with anyone outside of your own home Ė your 14-day clock RESETS.
Wishing you all the best. Deb Lannon
