Front Differential oil leak
I took my 4runner in for service at the dealership and they noticed that there was differential fluid leaking. They pointed it out to me and from what I saw there was some fluid around the front driveshaft where it bolts in.
They said that I needed a Pinion seal replacement. From what I see it is part number 90311-41009
I ask, is this a common seal to need to be replaced. I had a differential service done recently (8 months ago) and they did not say anything. Also they quoted me around $300 for everything to be done does that sound excessive? I need the Axel shafts replaced and wanted to make sure this is a different seal then that.
Thank you
