OEM Microphone Pin diagram help

Hello all,

So, I got an OEM Nav h/u EONS AGO and because of the newfound time I (most of us) have, I decided to take out the "box of mods" that have been sitting in my basement. Anyway, Made wire looms and whatnot, but I've been stumped on how to wire the OEM microphone. I know the following:

I have the "pin-outs" on how to connect it.

Here is the microphone:

Anyway, as you can see, on the H/U, I know what pins to use, BUT, on the microphone itself, I only have morsel of information.

So, the 3 wires at the end of the 6 pin plug are: at least I THINK:

red wire = MACC (microphone power)
black wire = MIC-
white wire = MIC+

According the pinout diagram above, MIC- (I think black wire) has to be attached to pin20 AND attached to the wire shield. Some thread don't mention the wire shield at all. Anyway, what to do? Attach to the shield as well or not?

Also, I just can't find a pin out (wire diagram) to the microphone (p/n: 86730-35020), can anyone verify that the above is correct ? I don't want to short anything. Thanks

calling out those who have done this:

Download 4th gen 4Runner shop manual

So to answer my own question and for those who this can help.

Found this thread with a link to a site where you can download the shop manual to an 03 or 06 model.

4Runner Wiring Diagram - Toyota 120 Platforms Forum

or you can click:

Index of /Vidpics/4Runner Repair Manual

So, turns out I was right.

Anyway, disregard where it says ACC is pin 5, it's not, it's pin 6.

Red wire = MACC (connect to Pin17 on R10 plug (Navigation Head Unit))
Back wire = MIC- (connect to Pin20 on R10 plug)
White wire = MIC+(connect to Pin19 on R10 plug)
note: ***Shield MIC- and MIC+*** and ground the shield.

Thanks everyone for rushing to help!!!

Finding a detailed wire diagram for your specific microphone model (p/n: 86730-35020) can be challenging, as OEM components often come with limited documentation. If you're unsure, consider consulting a car audio specialist or contacting the manufacturer for more precise information on the wiring. And if you're exploring microphone options for other purposes, such as recording or streaming, you might want to look into microphones designed for ASMR. These are known for their precision in capturing delicate sounds.
