Juggle between UCA and tires

I have a 3/2 lift, 1” BL, 1.25” wheel spacers, 2016 wheels. I need tires pretty badly. Won’t be doing any off roading for 2-3 months.

What’s the smart buy...285/70/17 Falken MT’s or JBA UCA’s??

Trying to prioritize, function over form.

I would answer:
#1. What is placing you in more danger of having an accident or failure - tires or UCA? Both are 'mission critical' parts so I would prioritize safety.

More questions:
- Are your upper ball joints in need of replacement? if yes -> UCA as a failed UCA can lead to an accident that totals your vehicle.
- Can you set an alignment with your current set up and UCA? if yes -> Tires, if no -> UCA because you will wear your new tires out and need to replacement them
- How long until you can buy the other item, aka, if you buy tires when could you buy UCAs?

EXCELLENT point of view. Thank you.

Ball joints are just fine. Tires will be aligned upon installation at the shop and will be guaranteed for a year. So that pretty much help me make up my mind I suppose. I can do UCA soon after and get realigned for free.

I think I’ll need to do even more research on what interferences are to be expected with stock UCA and 285’s.
I want to say it’s the spring that makes contact rather than the tire but I’m afraid that I have that backwards.

With your setup you should be okay not rubbing spring or uca. If you didnt have spacers I would say it would rub there for sure. But you will for sure rub on the BMC.

Thank you both. Guess BMC is next on the to-do list.
