In here just to say DO NOT order from marion b2b. The dude is a ****ing terrible flake. Assemblies take 4-6 weeks to arrive (I made the mistake of ordering a second after my first bad experience, thinking it would be better) even when the order confirmation email says a week or so and the guy does only responds to one out of four or five emails/phone calls and even then it’s just BS like he had a family emergency has been “super busy.”

One of his bearings failed on me in less than a year so I tried contacting him for a warranty through email and by phone to no avail.

I ended up getting a NAPA assembly during black friday deals and it’s been great so far ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I also was just informed by my dealer that it will be $800 for the front passenger wheel bearing. no thanks. so far i have read reputable reviews of wheel bearing hub assemblies from bluepit and jerseybuilthubs. Poll? Feedback is appreciated!

Howdy guys and gals!

My front-right bearing is on its way out. I ordered a hub assembly from "Detroit Axel".

Does anyone have experience / reviews with Detroit Axel?

(Front Wheel Bearing & Hub Assembly #950-001-4WD/AWD-Lexus/Toyota)

Thanks!

I did some research on this recently and the general consensus was Toyo or NSK as they are made in Japan. Reviews on Amazon are all over the place for the others. Seems if not stamped with these 2 brands then they are Chinese. I almost went with Detroit Axle as they had a good warranty but I decided to get a Beck/Arnley bearing without hub because the picture shows Koyo, I hope it's accurate.

Just an FYI, there many Chinese counterfeit bearings out there with the Koyo name on them, the most telling factor of the bearing being counterfeit is price, normally for a genuine Koyo bearing alone without the hub the price should be around $80.

I got it from Rockauto and it was over $80 so hopefully it's the real Mccoy. You can get the whole assembly in the same brand for the same price but the picture shows nothing stamped onto the bearing.

Was the price you paid for just the bearing or the bearing and hub together?

The bearing and 2 seals for that price. I will reuse the old hub I pulled from the other side.

A bit more info on this, the Beck/Arnley box with just the bearing & seals says Made in Japan on it. The same brand with the completed assembly says China. The Japan one looks very well made.

Today I got the old bearing and race completely off the hub and cleaned the hub up. Got it mocked up for pressing in but I want to compare it to the one I pull off for peace of mind. It does look like someone replaced the bearing on the hub I'm using at some point as it had some gouges under the bearing that I did not put there.
