While I like Rock Auto, there is some value being able to drive someplace local and get parts.

When you are in the middle of a project, even 2 days via Amazon Prime or buying from Rock Auto feels like an eternity

I have particular soft spot for local electronics and electrical supply shops like this... Places like that are a dying breed so I try and support them.

It's good to try and support those guys before they turn into a Radio Shack.
Once in a while you can find some good deals too. Went to Lowe's partway through my header install and found a set of metric racheting flex head Kobalt 90 tooth wrenches. On Amazon they are $80 but they were on sale for $50 at Lowe's. I might go back and pick up their inch set.

Totally... Sales and window shopping is fun too if it helps the creative process.

Not that this happens all the time, but the Ingersol air ratchet in this photo was a Lowes display model of a discontinued item. Brand new for $20 (favorite tool for taking my skid plates off when I am on a creeper)

Speaking of which I need to go to Lowes to pick up the Kobalt 24V battery deal - buy the battery pack/charger combo and get a free tool (probably go with their electric ratchet).

I've been eyeballing their 1/2" drive 24V Impact as well which looks like has had another price drop.

I bought Monroe Quick Struts for my parents' GX470 from Advance, had a 20 or 25% discount code and was able to tack on the rewards $ for an additional discount, came out less than any mail order source and got them the following day. Then I used the rewards $ earned from that and other purchases towards their oil change deals, two 5-quart jugs of Mobil1 synthetic came out to about $20 each. I'm like a extreme couponer automotive style LOL

They also had some crazy deals on Gear Wrench ratcheting wrenches and small socket sets (1/4 and 3/8 drive)...of course now I'm missing practically every 10mm socket from those sets

Hey I can't have the Micro H1s not match the BRT/EX-L quads I'm putting together Let's continue the trash talk elsewhere, we're going too off topic

Just where do all those 10mms go?

You'll just roast me on HJ again.

Wow you got +5.0 outta the JBAs? I got a bit over 4 on mine, but I didn't ask them to try to push it to the max. Maybe because I'm lifted slightly higher?

Do you have a NAPA nearby? I’d rather support a NAP than autozone or o’reilly or PB.
