Bleeding front brakes after installing new calipers?

So, I found that I had three stuck caliper pistons out of 8 on the front brakes. Went and got some remanned calipers and installed them. I unscrewed the brake reservoir cap and the bleeder and gravity bled both front calipers independently.

What next? Do I just replace the reservoir cap and pump the brakes until I see no air bubbles coming out of the bleeder screw (with hose attached, of course)? I'm assuming I can do this on both front calipers independently and not do the back, since the front have independent brake lines?

Thanks

Zayne

Yes, bleed the brakes as you would with any car for the fronts. If you have a helper open bleeder, press and hold pedal, close bleeder, release pedal. Do this til no air. Then have helper pump pedal a few times and hold it as you slowly crack the bleeder and watch for air bubbles. Close bleeder. Repeat. Test for a good brake pedal.

If you run into anything weird, consult the many threads regarding brake bleeding procedures.

Or get speed bleeders and bleed them without a heLper.

Ah yeah I remember reading about those.

Are these the same thing?

Anyone have any experience with these particular ones?

Yes, I used dorman speed bleeders when I did my brake lines a couple weeks ago. They're great. If you go to the "what did you do to your 4runner today" thread I have a write up and follow up within the few pages of the thread. Disussing sped bleeding.

Bleeding the rears was really weird... it's got some type of booster pump that keeps the flow constant.

Careful not to let the master go dry.

My understanding is that the rears use the abs pump so all you have to do is turn the key on, open the bleeder and press the brake and the abs pump will do the work for you. Definitely agree, don't let the reservoir empty out while you're doing it.
