Touch up paint for silver interior trim

Is there a touch up paint or something you guys are doing to restore scratches and rub marks where the black is showing through? I hoped to find a touch up pen or something. Been looking at Used replacement center console trim bezels but are a bit pricy and a lot of pics online are crummy and would hate to get one in worse condition.

Other than this rub mark the rest of the interior is in near immaculate condition. Looking for ideas. Wouldn’t have to be perfect, but would like to hide the black eyesore.

I can't help but I'll be watching this. I have a similar spot in mine.

Same boat, but with the door handles (FYI bug spray and sunscreen dissolve the finish).

That's a pretty big expanse to try and touch up, if I were you I'd be tempted to pull that piece, lightly sand and re-spray.

Try silver Sharpe pen ? Can't hurt.

I won’t ask how you know that lol, but will keep that in mind next time I clean mine. I know bug repellent is some nasty stuff. We use it (bug off) at work to wipe off permanent black marker on our ID tags and wipes off/dissolves like nothing.

I was thinking a touch up pen or paint marker. Maybe I’ll look at the testors model Silver metallic paint marker. I’d considered having it hydro dipped in a carbon fiber, but my OCD would make me do all the Siler trim pieces. Not that it’s a bad thing but since it’s my daily driver I’d be without it and couldn’t afford to have it lost or damaged in transit.

The silver metallic Sharpie isn’t a bad idea either. I’ll check them out also. Definitely couldn’t look any worse, only would improve, especially with a little blending.

Same issue. I've thought about taking it all off, sanding it and repainting it an entirely different color.

Got a sliver metallic sharpie and testors paint marker ordered. Should be in Wed. Which will be my first day off. I’ll report back with some better before and after pics to let you all know how it turns out.

Silver Sharpie is going to be too silvery, the trim is more of a champagne color compared to a silver sharpie. I'd pull it off and re-paint or vinyl wrap it.

I got a silver sharpie and used it today. Not a perfect match but it does look better than the black spot. It'll do for now.

Somewhere on the forum months back, I read where the Toyota touchup paint Titanium Metallic ID4 would work.

I haven’t tried it, however.
