Need a new front bumper... but with a front receiver.
Due to an unfortunate accident years ago involving a tight trail and a tree, my stock bumper left this world. It was replaced by a cheap unpainted replacement that was attached using stock hardware, zip ties, and self tappers. It worked fine, and actually looked pretty good fit wise despite... ugly.
When my truck was getting overhauled, another unfortunate accident due to ice and a parked car when it was being moved to the alignment shop claimed the front bumper, again. Very low speed, but it ripped the corner off. Instead of the shop at fault replacing the damaged parts, I accepted a check for laughably more than the cost of replacement parts to pursue a new more durable and useful metal bumper. That and all of the plastic that the bumper would mount to is totally screwed up now, it just needs to be removed.
I love the Strike winch bumper from Victory. It’s minimal while being a nice upgrade with recovery points. But I really want a front receiver instead of a winch box for trailer moving purposes and a winch cradle that can be moved as needed, front to back.
I rarely if ever off road, but my runner is used heavily for jobs around the property ranging from stuff removal to towing equipment. Hence why a front receiver would be so useful.
Victory said they can’t custom anything for me, but I’m wondering if I could get a hidden receiver from someone like CBI and modify the bumper to go over it, and with longer hardware to attach them both through the frame mounts.
Does anyone know of a front bumper that has a 2” receiver option that would save me this hassle, OR another suggestion for a bumper solution?
