Correcting Driver Side Lean
I have always been curious what the easiest method was for correcting driver side lean. Before I got my CBI bumper and just had my radflo front and rear set up if I took a tape measure and measure from the top of the tire to the fender in the rear it sagged about 1 1/2 in on the driver side. Now after I having my bumper and all pro 3.5's installed it still leans on the driver side but only 1in. I'm curious what the easiest way to correct this is. Previous to having my all pros installed I had been messaging
@ aha2988
about running a daystar 1.5in spacer under the driver side rear coil but for some reason the mechanic had a problem with me doing that and I took his advice and held out. What I would like to know is, is that my best option to run a spacer under the driver side coil or could I correct my cranking up the driver side coilover in the front up? I would really appreciate some input, thanks.

It's not a huge difference but enough that I'm always thinking about it. And wow it looks naked without a roof rack.

With my allpro extreme lift on my 82 pickup I just assumed a lean while in the drivers seat with no passenger was part of having a well articulating soft suspension.
Does yours lean all of the time?

Hey! I'm running daystar spacers in the back on top of MT LT coils that are 19.75" long, so I don't think the overall height of the coils would be a problem. As far as running uneven spacers being a problem, a lot of guys do that with the 4th gens specifically, because the lean seems to be so prominent. I know that
@ LTDSC
for one is running it on top of super flexes in the rear of his truck.
One thing I would caution with running that much height is because of a problem I had recently. I deformed my gas tank skid ever so slightly on an obstacle, and because of my lift height combined with the flex, my driveshaft was able to come into contact with the gas tank skid under certain flexed conditions. Just something to watch out for.

Just run the daystar spacer. It's a cheap, proven fix. Been running mine for 12k with zero issues.

Superman3043 and I both run a daystar 1.5" spacer on the driver side rear. Lean is corrected and have not had any issues.

Great looking Runner! I personally love the no roof rack look (although I think you're waiting on a WMW, right?) and considering I never use the stock one, I'm going to be deleting mine this summer.

Bumping up older thread, since it looks like a good spot to put this --
I swapped in FJ springs, and added a single 1.5" Daystar spacer on the rear driver's side to correct the lean. It worked -- my 4R is within 1/8-3/16" of level front and rear.
In searching on this topic, before I added the single spacer, I didn't see any discussion of this possible explanation for the lean -- just speculating here, but could it be that Toyota laid out the 4Runner (and Prado, and FJ, and GX) with the heavy items on the left side (battery, fuel tank) in order to compensate for the weight of the driver on the right? Since Japan is RHD, this makes sense.

I just noticed today i have an almost 2" lean on the rear of my '14 4runner towards my drivers side while my fronts are perfectly level.
Currently have icon stage 2 lift kit with OME 889 rear coils.
Would the daystar 1.5" lift on JUST the rear driverside coil correct it enough or should i tone it down with a 1" lift correction with cornfed spacers?
