How long your OEM battery has lasted?
Hey all! I haven't posted much here but been here a while. Just wondering how long your OEM battery has lasted. I've leased the last couple 4Runners then got a really good buy out in 2011 on my 08 and decided to keep it. Still has the OEM battery leaning over 6 years now since I got it in Feb. 08.
Thanks

I actually just got my battery tested yesterday because I figured it was about time to swap it out. I have an original Panasonic in my 07 w/ 135k on it. Test showed that it holds 12.48v and has 473 CCA. I believe it had around 700 CCA new. That's pretty impressive considering it has survived seven -30 Canadian winters.
EDIT: I've also had a 1000w sub running off the stock bat for about 8 months now. Never had any trouble starting the motor despite the battery frequently being under a heavy load.

Cant say how long it has lasted because I still have it. Its an 04 with 136k. It is getting weaker, but still started at -20........ wasnt all that happy about it though, lol. I am sure tge summer heat will kill it this year though.

Also have '08 with original battery (new in Nov '07; build date of Aug '07). So far, so good.
Yeah, they say batteries die in the summer, but don't actually fall over until the winter.

My '04 had the original battery with 160k miles when I replaced it a couple of months ago. I probably could have gone through this summer on it, but I wanted an Optima Yellow Top. The 4R used to live up in the Sierras, so I'm impressed it lasted so long.

Where you live has a great deal of influence on how long a car battery lasts. Batteries in the south don't last anywhere near batteries in the north. Heat is what kills a battery. Cold is good at showing how weak your battery is...but it helps preserve it.

my factory battery lasted 5 years and over 140 or so miles warm and cold climate. Then again i think it might have to do with the fact the truck runs non stop once i leave for work till i get home.

Had the original battery, and I got the truck from my mom (I know you're thinking "Some shit rich kid!" but I promise I'm not! ), battery finally gave out after about 8 years. Was pretty impressed by it.
Edit: around 130k.
