Thorley Headers and 1" BL, will steering shaft clear?

Hey guys Ive tried searching to find a concrete answer for this and haven't been able to come up with anything. I have Thorley headers that I plan on installing in august after I smog(CA bs). I am looking at ordering a toytec 1" body lift but have found a very limited mixed bag of results if it will work with the headers. I don't want to do all the work of putting it in to just have to uninstall it in a few months. Anyone running this setup? I have a 2007 with the 4.7. Thanks in advance

Long tube or short tube headers?

My long tubes clear the bolt after I ground it down quite a bit. Running a 1.5" BL.

They're the short tubes, Im planning on running the hi flow magnaflow cats with them. Good to know it worked with some modification, did you have to dent the headers in at all? I also have bilstein 6100 @ 2" and 5160 with 1.5" springs in the back if that makes any difference

I didn't have to dent them, but maybe I should have because the bolt doesn't have much left on one side.

I believe the short tubes have less clearance than the long tubes, that's the rumor anyway. It should work, even if you have to do a combination of denting and grinding. Or find a lower clearance bolt.

I am interested in this as well, I want to do the headers but keep my 1" Body Lift. Inv4drZm, can you snap a picture of the modification you made to the steering?

If your going with Long Tubes here is how they fit with a 1" BL. Plenty of room on mine.

Living in NJ makes long tubes difficult as NJ does visual inspections to make sure I have proper emissions hardware. I don't think there are garage style inspections anymore as NJ has weeded them all out. With the Long Headers I would likely do the upgraded y pipe as well.

I was going to modify the DT Y pipe by putting high flow cats where the resonators are, but my sudden unemployment killed that idea for awhile. There are no inspections what so ever here in Florida, so it doesn't matter, but I would rather not pollute. What's irritating is in some states you could put a system that works better than OEM emissions, pass a sniffer test, but they would still fail it because you didn't use factory manifolds and cats. A shielded high flow cat might fool a visual because they look close to factory, but I'm sure the headers wouldn't.
