Timing belt kit 4.7

Looking to replace timing belt on my 03 with 4.7. I noticed a bunch of kits from ebay. There are a bunch of kits with different prices. Which kit have forum members used? Looking to go with oem.

Do yourself a favor, and just buy the Aisin TKT-021. Buy the thermostat and coolant hoses separately if you want, but Aisin is an OEM supplier so its legit stuff.

Who has the best price? Is it complete with water pump and the necessary gaskets?

I bought the kit from Rock Auto, cant go wrong with them usually, but Amazon has kits too. I would also go get yourself a Serpentine belt as well if its not included in the kit, just have them replace it as well while they are in there.

Are the rock auto/amazon kits oem Toyota? I’ve seen a bunch of kits on eBay with all different prices, ranging from 200-500+. Anyone get a kit from eBay with a reputable seller?

I bought my kit from 'aircabinman' on ebay. Has everything EXCEPT new serpentine belt tensioner and idler. No kit comes with those two parts but are good to have.

You will also need some Toyota gasket in a tube called FIPG(?). There is a big write up here:

Do you have the part number for the serpentine belt tensioner and idler?

I don't have them but would hit up whoever you buy your timing kit from. They should be able to put it together for you.

I got my Aisin kit off of Amazon. I think it's about $10 more than when I purchased it, but still a good price. Also picked up a serpentine belt separately.

I bought the same Aisin kit off amazon as well and also did the thermostat, upper/lower radiator hoses (Gates), new rad cap, crank seal, new drive belt (Bando) + tensioner/idler (Dayco). Also did engine/interior filters and spark plugs while I was at it.

Have members changed the crank gear and crank seal while they did the timing belt?

Unless they are leaking I wouldn't change the seals.
