Skid Plate Recommendations and Where to get Them

As the title suggest, I am looking for skid plates and where to buy em from.

I have an 04 v8, and installing Billstien 5100's and OME 886/896 coils for the suspension, and an ARB bumper up front.

Questions I got is, will any front skid plate work? Also, saw on the CBI site that 03-04 v8's required a special rear plate, can this be confirmed?

Also want to mention I am looking for steel plates.

Probably best to read through this thread.

I already have, and it's pretty bare bones and doesn't really have the info I am seeking. CBI and RCI are the only two that I can find and trust, but CBI mentions that they have to modify their rear skid plate, so I dont wanna risk getting something that wont fit. I am hoping someone with a v8 can chime in, maybe with what they went with

Try Budbuilt or Shrockworks also for steel skids.

The founders of Toyota120 aka Bulldog & Expat & Joel have V8's and used Budbuilt steel skids.

I believe (correct me I'm wrong) Bud Built is the only one that makes skids for the v8 with the oil filter cut out. That's on my list to get. Other manufacturers are nice, but I prefer the ease of oil changes.

The only think that's stopping me is the shipping.... If only I can find a local seller.

The budbuilt is way wider than the others, that's why it has the oil filter cutout.

I can reach the oil filter on my V8 with the RCI because its narrower.

But if you're like me you'll spill oil everywhere on top of your skid plate, meaning you'll probably want to remove the skid plate to do the job the cleanest way possible.

That's the thing.. I don't want to keep having to remove it everytime I need to do an oil change. More of a hassle and risk of damaging the 4 thread pitch. I've already tap'd and helicoiled 3 of them. These plates are already heavy as it is at ~30lbs?
