Changed rear upper links and now getting clicking noise

So I finally changed out my factory upper rear control arms on my 07 with 180k miles because the bushings were shot and I decided to put in Dobinson adjustable uppers with the factory style rubber bushings. Also changed out my stock panhard bar at the same time. So I set the upper links to +1/4" longer than stock to help improve the pinion angle as that seemed like a good thing to do. Not long after doing this I noticed a rotational clicking or clunking noise coming from the rear end.

I couldn't for the life of me see why changing the Rear UCA's would cause this so I looked at some other things. Pulled the rear diff and checked that thinking the ring gear might be chipped (because I've broken my rear diff before and it was a similar sound) and pulled the driveshaft and got that rebalanced. Everything looked pretty good and I put it back together and still the clunk. So I took the UCA's off and set them back to factory length and voila...the clunk is gone. I need to drive it some more to make sure it's still ok but does anyone have any insight into what might have happened there??

My best guess is that the rear driveshaft universal joint was binding.
