Driver side speakers cutting out?

Backstory- 2007 with factory nav/JBL/stock speakers (as far as I know).

Occasionally when I'm driving I'll notice the driver side speakers will cut out then turn back on again. Any idea why this could be happening? Is it time to upgrade the deck?

Difficult to tell but sounds like might be a lose wire in the speaker, maybe the speaker is on its way out. poped coil, lose wire. take the speaker out and check the ohms and continuity. Id rule that out then look at deck and additional wiring.

The driver’s door speaker quit working in my Scion a few weeks ago. Turns out the speaker connection had a little corrosion in it, likely from so much rain. It took all of 15 minutes to fix. Removed the door panel, unplugged the speaker, scraped the contacts, then plugged/unplugged several times.

Thanks guys. One thing I didn't think about was I left the windows open one day last week and it rained pretty good inside for about 5min. Might pull a driver door panel and see if anything in there got wet.
