Possible to remove ONE rear seat??

I want to remove just the left (driver-side) rear seat.

The lower (butt) portion comes out easily enough, but it appears the upper (back) portion is permanently attached to the other (passenger-side) part via an axle that they rotate on when they fold down. Am I right about that?

I want it to be reversible and still maintain the functionality of the remaining seat.

Thanks!!

You can definitely remove either the 1/3 or the 2/3 section of rear seat. The seat backs and bottoms are separate.

I could not see how to separate the backs. Can you tell me how?

Never mind
I figured it out

There are 2 14mm bolts at the base of the seat back under the cardboard cover
