People suck and wheel help

So I got my eibach lift installed today and was SUPPOSED to swap wheels and tires with a guy today when I picked my truck up. But of course he got a flat tire on the way to the garage to swap 😂 not a coincidence....

Any who, I get to spend twice as much money now but get exactly what I want here's the problem...

Do I want to be cool, or responsible? I know 93.4768394% of you will say be cool but, idk. So I love the scs F5 wheels for our cars, one question is for the poeple that have these did you get the 17x8.5 with -10mm offset or the 17x9 with -38mm offset and how would that affect alignment?

Now the cool or responsible question. Do I get tires and the F5 wheels or...do I get tires, keep stock wheels and just do my 5th gen brake setup now rather than later.

Help me be responsibly cool guys. Thanks.

17x8.5, the 9" look tits but they're wide. I have 3" lift, 1" body lift and SPC UCA's and they fit well.

If you need brakes, do the swap. If it's just something on the list, it's up to you to weigh what you want more now lol.

The fiscally responsible thing is to always run the OEM wheels in stock size... but who wants to do that crap!

17x9 -38mm offset is gonna be some serious poke. With a 285 wide tire, that'll be over an inch of poke beyond the fender line. It'll have a pretty hard time on the front, the outboard trailing edge is gonna slam the pinchweld and mudflap like it's William Perry.

The 17x8.5 -10mm is gonna give alot less fitment problems

I ran the 17x9 with 285/70's for a while before a front plate bumper. Did rub but not on the pinch weld and the mudflaps have been removed for a long time. Picture for reference.

Very interesting. I like the look but thing is I've just got an eibach pro lift kit in and I don't think I could or would even run 285's right now. I don't need to, think the biggest I'd like to go would be 275/75 if I could pull that off. I think I could but would need UCA's. Before I buy those it's wheels, rust proofing and many small things and maintenance.
