I had a bit of time today so I pulled the resistor pack. It's a sealed unit as you can see from the picture. In reality I don't know if it is really all resistors. The outer wires are heavy gauge but the inner two are not so I don't see any big amperage going through them. It is also labeled gnd, s1, +B and VM so it may not work like I think. Sadly the only wiring diagram I could find does not match my truck. Anyone have a diagram of this? Looking around it seems +B may be battery and VM may ground the other side of the motor at different levels, S1 being some sort of sense circuit. Seems this same pack is used to give a Dodge truck 7 speeds. Intriguing.
