New suspension installed!

Finally got everything done. Did the rears myself, and had to have the fronts done due to some bad bolts in the splash pan. Gotta say, HUGE pain in the rear to do with all the rusted out bolts. Not fun.

Front is bilstein 5100 zero lift with 884 OME springs giving about 2" lift along with JBA UCA. Speaking of the new arms, I don't need any spacers I assume? The approx 2" of clearance to the tire won't be an issue?

Rears are bilstein 5100 as well with Toytec springs giving about 2" of lift.

First pic is how it sits now. Second was after I finished with the rears and compared to a stock 04. Third is toytec vs stock. Alignment is in the works come Monday.

Everything is more difficult and frustrating with rusted bolts. Even simple things became an exercise in frustration. I like to do things myself but I know it’ll take 2-3 times as long as it should or longer and I may be drilling something out

Spacers change the geometry. Generally your tire is tucked in the wheel well and when you turn there’s enough room. The spacer pushes it out so you may hit the bumper etc. but this gets further complicated by the width of the tire and how offset or where the wheel sits relative to the rotor - farther out or in. So sometimes people benefit and sometimes it makes things more difficult with spacers

Everything is easier if you have a lift to work on. Otherwise, it just sucks.

I see what you're saying about the spacers. For now it seems like nothing is rubbing and I have space so we'll see what happens. I think eventually new wheels will be in order anyways since the stock rims are getting kinda nasty.

What made you go with different springs from the front and back?

New to this and wanting to lift mine soon as well.

If you don’t mind me asking, how much did the setup cost you?

Looks good congrats on the lift! I had a hard time doing mine too because of rusted bolts. It took me 11 hours to do the front and about 8 hours to do the rear

I had heard that ome springs in the rear made for a harsher ride for some people and were better if you were carrying a lot of weight in back. I saw others saying the toytec springs were good for most applications. OME just seemed to have the best reviews/comments for fronts. Even a mechanic at a shop who was going to install the springs onto the struts said ome springs are the best on the market.

Rear springs are annoying, but doable on the ground. If I found I needed an upgrade that badly I could always get new springs and swap them in over a weekend. Probably still have to get an alignment again but eh.

Total price around $1400ish not including paid labor which will be another 400 by the time I get the alignment done. About $400 for the springs, $450 for all four bilsteins, $450 for the control arms, and add some tax.

I also have OME in front and Toytec Superflex's in the back.
I went with 885's because I have the V8. Ride is great on and offroad.
