Front turn signal dual filament socket with 3 wires available?

Wondering if there is a 3 wire dual filament plug that will work and fit for an 06-09 front headlight turn signal. One like a 7443 (same as rear) or a 3157. I have the DTRL’s in my 08 and the glass bulb gets so hot it’s burning the socket and melted the inside of the headlight housing. The bulb was stuck in due to it melting and a regular replacement bulb will not fit back in because it’s now miss shaped.

I want to run LED’s because they will fit where the glass bulb won’t now and they won’t get hot like the glass bulb. I’ve already bought and received my 4 LED’s for front and back and would like to make them work while keeping a DRL function. I will just run the power and ground as the turn signal, bend my tab for the flasher on the DTRL’s, and just wire the other power to an ignition source so I will have DTRL’s and be able to use a resistor for the flashers that won’t get crazy hot due to not being on the whole time.

Looking for a style bulb like this to be able to use

And here’s what mine looks like

The Flosser brand sockets from this seller may work. As-is the 7443 sockets were an almost direct fit in place of Toyota 7440 sockets, just had to do some minor tab trimming. You'll probably need the 1157 versions since 7440/7443 are physically smaller. https://www.ebay.com/str/formulaj87/...cat=5067193011

Did you do JA's DRL mod to the existing flasher relay?

That does look like a similar style, I’ll check them out and see if I can find some dimensions, thank you. Hopefully I can make one work. I’ll look into the 1157 style as well. For the 3157 it seems they come up on superbright led’s for an option in the front so thought maybe they’d work?

No I didn’t do a JA DRL mod for mine. Mine has the DRL’s from the factory. I do have raptor style lights on the front of my Satoshi grille I made now that I installed an on/off switch for so I figured it would be a easy enough to just tie into that and have an on/off function as well for the DRL’s.

Oem 81125-35440. Wiring harness and socket for the turn signal. If you trace the wiring back to the main harness, you'll see it just plugs in for easy change out... It's almost like they knew there would be a problem... Get canbus anti-hyperflash LEDs if you are looking to go that way. Easier to just replace a bulb than to splice in a resistor that gets super hot.

But he wants a socket for a dual-filament bulb, which has 3 wires and 3 contacts within the socket (common ground, + for parking/dim filament, + for turn/bright filament)

Ed is correct, I was asking for a 3 wire direct fit replacement socket, but am open to alternative ideas and suggestions that are proven to work. I would prefer to keep it how it is and use a Canbus bulb, that would be great if it worked!

Question, would the Canbus bulb get hot like the halogens when on constantly using them for DTRL’s? That’s what burned and melted my existing headlight housing because the halogen got too hot.

For the interim I had to put the 1156 LED that I have in my front passenger side and just deal with the hyper flashing for now so I can at least have a turn signal.
