I'm at 483k miles on my 2005 V8. I am the 2nd owner and I have put 20,000 hard miles on this 4runner. Videos of it are found on our channel,

Some of you might mistake my rough driving for not caring about the 4runner, but believe me I do love this rig. So far just keeping up with basic maintenance. Front ABS sensor recently went out after I put another lift on.
As

mentioned, I also believe the transmission will go out before the engine does. I daily drive this rig and it does slip every once in a while and sometimes lags on the last downshift when coming to a stop. Engine still sounds smooth and amazing.
My check engine light comes on sporadically. Sometimes it'll be off for an entire month before going back on. The code is always for low efficiency catalytic converter so that will most likely be the next major maintenance expense, unless I'm lucky and it's just the O2 sensor.
This was and still is a desert car and the silver clear coat is peeling horribly. I will be bed lining the entire rig soon using a tinted raptor liner.
Front CV boots were ripped when I purchased it. Those have been replaced.
