Transmission, tires and towing questions

I just bought my 2005 SR5 4WD V8 4 Runner. I have a couple of questions guys. Does it have a transmission fluid dipstick? Can't seem to find one. Is there a link in the forums that has a video link or instructions on how to change the fluid and filter?

2nd question
I have heard that AWD's have to have all four tires changed if one is beyond repair and you cannot just replace one. Is that the case for these? Is it an all-time 4x4 or only kicks in when it needs to?

3rd question
Is there a certain way you have to tow one of these behind you? I know the AWD Honda Pilots have to be towed a certain way. Is it an issue or do you just throw it in neutral if someone is steering or it's on a dolly? Do all 4 wheels have to be on the ground?

The 4WD system on the V8 models is engaged all the time. There's a Torsen limited slip center differential that prevents it from binding up on the road, and a button to lock it when you need extra traction off road. The V6 4Runners have a 2WD mode, but not the V8. But there's almost no downside to having it engaged all the time.

Never tow one of these on a dolly. The center differential can't be disengaged. I'm not sure about towing with all 4 wheels on the ground, but the owners manual should have a page about it.

After a certain year (maybe 2004?) they switched from a dipstick to a "sealed" transmission. There are threads about changing the fluid, and it's probably a good idea to do if you plan on using it heavily (towing, etc).

Thank you. I appreciate your answer. I'll check my manual.
