Documenting My 4th gen build!
So I got a (new to me) new 4th gen a few months ago and so far am loving it! I purchased it for 6k and it has 108k on the car, 1 owner car fax, EVERY service, oil change, what ever you can think of has always been “stealer” maintained so that was the kicker for me to go get this thing and traveled 3 hours to go get it. None the less I am super happy with the runner. It’s a sport addition V6 sr5, pretty much the base model since there really are no options in it at all but that doesn’t bother me one bit. So far what I’ve done to the runner is
-weather tech window visors
-20% tint to match privacy glass
-new spec D headlights
-laser fitted floor mats front and back row (got off eBay that was listed for a 2009-2015 4runner lol but took the risk and ordered them and they fit perfectly! Paid 65 as opposed to 200 for the weather tech mats.
-Sony Apple car play radio, remote start, and back up cam installed (Ordered a USB adapter and drilled the bottom storage tray to look factory for the car play port.)
-plate shades
-all LED interior lighting
And that’s it for now but I plan on installing a 32” light bar in the bottom grill
Heated seats and clazzio seat covers
3” lift on 20x12 hard rock crushers and 33’s (don’t worry I’m aware of the body mount chop, and good amount of plastic cutting)
So far I’ve done everything my self and only had the radio put in.. can’t wait to get the build really moving!! Here are some below pics of what I have done. The pics with the bumper bars are when I first got it.

Nice deal!
One thing that is making me grit my teeth is your 4WD selector halfway between H2 and H4!
Are you planning to do a diff drop or anything with the 3" lift? I've heard the angles can cause issues with the axles.

The only thing I’m having a little bit of trouble with decisions are the tires... I’m thinking I want 285/55r/20’s on the wheels above, and with a 3 inch lift and body mount chop I assume that should only leave some slight rubbing at full turn still on the hunt for tires though

Since the 285/55r/20’s are 32.3 inches tall, only little bit taller than stock.

Good luck fitting those wheels man. I run 17x9 -38 with 285/70/17. BMC, 1" body lift and 3" suspension. Lift and sometimes still rub a bit on the rear of the front fender near pinch weld.

Yeah I’m thinking for sure I’m gonna be doing the body chop kit, flatten the pinch welds and also of course trim all mud flaps and push front fender forward.. should be little to no rubbing after that. and I’m gonna be running 20x12 -44 offset and in also thinking I’m gonna be doing 3 inch lift with 1 inch body lift.

UPDATE: added viper smart start module onto my already existing viper remote start, can start the car anywhere in the world or unlock from my phone. Definitely worth it to me

You definitely got a great deal on you 4Runner! BUT....I am not a fan of your wheel choice, not the right look/style for a 4Runner.
