Severe nose dive, ABS module??

Howdy folks,

Been a lurker here for a while, starting to get a bit more involved.

So, I bought my 2006 Limited V8 last November and noticed SEVERE nosedive when "emergency" breaking. I chalked it up to the leaking front shocks and well-used springs. In January I lifted the truck, replacing all of the shocks and spring. The issue persists.

Basically, at any speed - even at 5 MPH, if I "stomp" the brakes if feels like the front calipers a biting too hard and the rears aren't biting much if at all. Additionally, every now and then my VSC will freak out when making a turn in to a parking lot, especially if there's a bit of a bump or dip mid-turn.

I asked a mechanic friend, he said it could be that the ABS control module is going out. Has anyone had a similar issue or have any other ideas? Frankly I'm hoping for crappy old calipers and maybe a faulty abs/speed sensor. Thoughts??

I have the emergency braking nose dive for sure. It's scary because it kind of kicks in when it wants to with sudden braking. I haven't looked into it much though.

I sort of get the same thing, if I'm making a tight turn or say turning into a gravel lot. It's not much of a "dive" but it's noticeable and annoys the hell out of me. I just chalk it up to normal.

The big nose dive is not normal. I had a similar issue with stock XREAS OEM front suspension and an ARB bumper on the front. The added weight messed with the dynamics of the suspension.

I pulled the xreas system and installed newer struts and the issue is gone. I can hit a railroad crossing at 50 mph and no instability coming off the other side.

You need better suspension in the front. I also run sway bars front and rear which in my opinion helps.
