Lift Installed Need a Little Help with New Issue-Vibration

Alright guys, its been a long time coming but after purchasing my 03 V8 4runner about 8 months ago Ive finally made some decent progress. Compared to many this a pretty light build but well see where it ends up. Anyways have now completed the following items:
  • detailed inside/outside
  • installed new head unit (excelon), speakers and alarm/remote start
  • tint
  • Dobinsons Lift (2.5 front/2inch back)
  • JBA UCA
    • all fluids (except tranny)

Had suspension and UCA completed last week at a local 4wd shop. Since I got it back Im having an issue i was hoping I could get some feedback on.....symptoms when accelerating (specifically in the 20-50 mph range) there is now a vibration. Its not horrible but definitely different and noticeable. Doesnt happen while coasting or much before/after the 20-50mph range. Have searched the forum and read threads about vibrations/shudders associated with the tranny but dont think thats the issue and some recommending needle bearing (but not for AWD model that I have and cant find one for). Some additional details:

Shop installed 2.5 front suspension and 2 inch rear (rated 200 pounds over stock currently do not have any extra weight in there currently, could that be the issue?) and spacers on both driver side front/back to correct lean. JBA UCAs

Shop also replaced the timing belt/waterpump

Shop completed alignment

After picking up the truck I went back and asked the shop what they thought it was. They said drive it for 700-1000 miles and see if works itself out. Currently doing that but thought Id check in with the group, would love to hear suggestions on how to track down the cause of this unappreciated new vibration and possible fixes.

Let me know if more info would be helpful, appreciate any and all feedback. Also attaching before and after pics of lift....new tires are next!

Suggestions/Results
1. Grease drive shaft and ujoints/completed this with no impact to vibrations
2. Check Ujoints/WIP
3. Check drive shaft/WIP

Since the lift has changed your driveshaft angles, I'd start with an easy/no-cost thing: grease all of your driveshaft u-joints, and the slip yokes.

If that doesn't solve it, move on to other items - such as removing one driveshaft and see if the vibration persists; if so, put it back and remove the other.

How many miles on it right now? Is it still on factory cv axles? Any tears in the boots?

Currently at ~176k, OEM axels but they were replaced along with CVs ~120k by previous owner, not rips in boots.

You may not like this answer, but...

Shops know if they can give you an answer like that and you bite on it...
They dodged a bullet.
The longer you drive it past the date of repair, two things happen:
As time goes on, you'll be less and less inclined to have them take responsibility.
And time gives other things an opportunity to happen that they can use to deflect responsibility.
They know this.
The profit margins they make on your repair start to go down the minute they have to take it back in.
And they know this.

There are many conflict-avoidant people out there.
All they have to do is shift it onto you (if you are conflict-avoidant) and they have a much greater chance of retaining their profit margins on your job.

Believe me, this is their main priority, to keep their profit margins.
Its not you or your vehicle, its their profit margins.
And blowing you off is the first tactical maneuver to that goal.

Many people will just take it and suck it up and avoid their own agency to defend themselves against such tactics.

However, Many wouldn't take that story for 5 seconds.
They would realize this company took their money with the understanding they would return a sound vehicle.
And they will not accept the vehicle until it is returned sound and operating correctly.
Which was the original agreement, either said or unsaid.
That is a typical business agreement, money for proper services rendered.

No one will stand in for you but you, you must use your own agency.
Or accept the facvt that a business understanding was broken.
The services rendered did not meet your satisfaction, yet you paid in full.

The rest is up to you.

I can appreciate that. In this case I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt as they have a solid reputation and are known to stand by their work. Will be going back next week if its still happening (has decreased a little as of now) to chat with them. Never been one to avoid conflict, if and when I believe its worth it!

I would "guess" that your driveline angle has changed with the lift. Maybe enough that it needs to be adjusted (some may, some may not). I think the only way to do that is with adjustable rear control arms. I'm not speaking from experience here, only what I've read and seen on youtube.
A possibility.

I'm going to guess one of the driveshafts doesn't like being extended out on the slip yoke more now that you lifted the truck. If one of your driveshafts was already wearing then the lift would bring that out.

This is easily tested by pulling the front then going for a drive. Then re-install and pull the rear then go for a drive. You would know in less than two hours which driveshaft it was if you're still having an issue.

Let's assume your driveshafts check out, then I'd suggest your front CV shafts are at too high an angle. Let me guess, you didn't install a differential drop either? That is something I always install on IFS FJC, Tacomas, and 4Runners when doing a lift over 2" in the front.

Start with greasing your drive train. Get a grease gun, Mobil1 Synthetic grease, and shoot a few pumps in your zerk fittings.

Report back and we can keep diagnosing from there.
