Yeah, it should be the exact same procedure.

if you get the chance I would love to see a before and after of the lights and their output. Did the 06 swap myself, but I might get rid of the lights I bought they keep getting moisture (and I want to do a proper LED retrofit in them)

My two cents, so feel free to ignore.

If you're looking to upgrade your headlights and you're fairly handy, I'd recommend you do a full HID retrofit. Go buy a set of projectors off the retrofit source or lightwerkz and install them into your OEM headlight housing.

Cost should be similar (or cheaper) and you'll get even better output than stock or aftermarket '06+ projectors.

I ran a HID kit for about 2 years in my '08 before switching to a full HID setup (Morimoto D2S 5.0). Halogens w/ Stock Projectors < HIDs w/ Stock Projectors <<<<< HID retrofit.

The swap was pretty intimidating for me, but wasn't as hard as it seems once I got started. I knocked out a conversion for my 4Runner as well as my wife's CRV.

With the DRL wouldn稚 you want LEDS since you would be adding them to the headlights? Cause I知 pretty sure I read 05 and lower DRL are in the bumper and 06+ are in the headlights. So if you want both to work leds would be the way to go due to leds pulling way less amperage

I've been running these for about a year with no problem, although I caulked the top and side areas heavily before install to prevent any water issues. Using standard Toyota bulbs for the high and low beams, and a Lasfit LED for the driving/turn bulb with a resistor on each side. You may have to de-pin your two wire marker light plug and shove them (and a hot tap from you DRL) into a three wire connector for this light to work, or get 6 wire taps and some pigtails and hardwire it.

Light output is comparable to new OEM.

Thank you for your input everyone. I致e actually decided to just keep the headlights installed right now. They are the black housing SPECD Headlights and I can稚 really find a reason to justify spending the money on these! Very much want the 06+ look as well as the grill upgrade but I知 gonna save the money and do those mods later on.
