Fitting Relentless Fab Predator bumper with a 1.5” BL
I have a 1.5” BL to help with the fitment of my 35s and want to purchase the Predator front bumper from Relentless Fab. I asked if they could fab me up a bumper that would incorporate the BL and was told no. So now I ask, does anyone have ideas on how to install the bumper in a manner in which reduces the gap from the body lift?

If the Predator bumper attaches to the frame like the stock bumper does, I think you can mount it an inch higher. It’s not 1.5”, but it’s better than 0”.
I did a 1” body lift with the stock front bumper, and I was able to mount the stock front bumper an inch higher so it looks normal.
I’m not familiar with the Predator bumper, so I may be wrong. I know there are other front bumper manufacturers who will customize bumpers for 4R’s with a 1” body lift, so there might be more to it than I am aware of.

This is odd as most all the ones I looked at when shopping around all had 1" BL options.

I’ve seen a couple without the BL option, and wonder why they don’t offer it.

Fitting Relentless Fab Predator bumper with a 1.5” BL
Most bumpers already have the drilled slots in the mount base to adjust. I have seen guys with 1.5-2" BL install Shrockworks, Demello. 4x4Labs and etc. with no issues.
How much of gap do you want? a good size gap works great for when your doing trails with lots of flexing and also helps when you winch, at times if you winch to hard you bend your mount and the bumper tweaks up.
Something similar happen to my bumper on the driver side, I have only a 1"BL with a 3.5" SL, take my advice never winch someone stuck in a mud pit.

To my knowledge the bumper mounts directly to the frame rails where the factory crush bar would normally mount via 3 bolts on either side. As simple as it is I had not thought about just raising the bumper up and utilizing only 2 of the 3 mounting bolts on either side. Any thoughts on whether that would cause the bumper to fail or rather bend easier when wenching?
I managed to find a video of a guy installing the same bumper on his truck. I’ll attach pics.

@ what are your thoughts on utilizing only 4 of the 6 mounting bolts due to moving the bumper upwards to reduce the gap? I’m fine with there being some gap I just don’t want a huge gap and the bumper to look out of place. At the end of the day I want the bumper to still be able to retain the full form and function (strength of the mounting to the frame).
Here is a pic of the mounting points on the bumper itself

It looks like you'd have to drill a hole for the third bolt anyway, if you're able to move it up in the first place.

With the stock front bumper, I’m using just 4 of the 6 mounting bolts without issue. It might be a problem with a heavy offroad bumper or if winching.
A few posts up, there’s a pic of a bumper that bent from using a winch.

I saw that, which I think could be an issue regardless of how it’s mounted whether I were to use 4 bolts rather than the 6. I suppose I could mount the bumper with 4 bolt and weld a sort of tab onto the bumper below the bottom slot on each side to allow the placement of 3 bolts on each side.

Another thing to consider is if the winch plate will have clearance if you move it up. I'll go snap a pic of mine since I don't have a winch yet so you can get an idea.
