Why spend Thousands on a warn? get this guy and save LOTS of cash: Winch

ok seriously, are you "set" on a warn?
I use to be a warn fan boy, but then I started researching,,,, I found ComeUp saved lots of cash that I put to other uses.

Dont get me wrong, warn has GREAT customer service (or used to) and they have the "name" but do yourself a favor and at least research others...

I have the Warn VR10000. It’s nice, and fit in my all pro bumper I had in my FJ. The removable Soleniod give lots of wiring options. I’d recommend around 9500-10k pounds, DEFINITELY get a synthetic line. No way around that, save weight but the SAFETY FACTOR is the number 1. And if you get half off, def go with Warn. I’m sure the all make a good product but Warn has the reputation to back it up. Have fun shopping!

PS: might be wise to contact Demello to see what fits, I had to go through three winches before I got one to fit in my slim all pro bumper. Luckily I live near Summit Racing in Reno, NV so it was no big deal to go back and forth returning them.

General rule of thumb is, 1.5 times the weight of your vehicle is what you want to get, you can always use a snatch block if needed.

I have a Warn Zeon 10-S with solenoid mounted remotely and a wireless controller on my Tacoma and the few times I've had to use it, it has been great. The line speed is impressive but that may be due to how oversized mine is. You would be fine with an 8-S but when I bought mine the 10-S was only something like $120 more.

Entry level Warn Evo series has a 7 year electrical warranty/lifetime mechanical warranty and wireless remote... I have the 10S and it's worked well.

If you want the best electrical winch money can buy then go WARN.

I have a WARN M12000 on my landcruiser and I rebuilt/upgraded a custom WARN 8274 on my 4Runner.

A craigslist used warn winch is better than a new smittybuilt etc. Shy away from the warn VR series. It's their cheapest line meant to compete with harbor freight boat anchors.
