Brakes and boat ramps
My understanding is when you put your vehicle in park and apply the parking brake, it only locks the rear wheels. So if you are on a wet slimy boat ramp, it is possible the rear tires could slip and your rig could go in the water. That is why they say to put it in 4wd so it links both axles, therefore when you put it in park and apply the parking brake you essentially have all wheels locked. Am I correct that even though I have a V8 that has full time 4wd, I would still need to put in in 4 high to essentially put it in park and have all 4 wheels locked?
