Fog Light Assembly Removal

I'm looking for info on how to remove my fog light assemblies. I've got one cracked lens and other side looks bad. So, I bought newer assemblies, but can't figure out how to remove old ones. I was able to pop out black trim around them, but that's all. I opened up wheel liners, but how do you get those things out? Thx.

What year is your 4runner? 03-05 or 06-09? I have an 08 and after removing the black trim/ cover, all you have to do is pop the fog light assembly from the back as well as pushing it from side to side. It’s held in place by one dime sized tab on each side. Wiggling side to side and bringing it forward did the trick for me. Here is an example, not OEM but OE spec for a visual.

Mine is an '09 - I'll give it a try on weekend by wiggling and pushing forward, will have an extra set of hands on standby to receive it once it moves forward outside front bumper. Good thing there are no screws or bolts to take off. Thx.
