Just bought 2000 v6 4runner, need advice, help and questions answered
hello, i was looking for a 4runner, and hopefully i found a good one, quite happy with it so far, it looks like it was been quite well looked after. i have alot of questions and concerns and could use some advice. here are some specs about it
2000 4runner srs with V6 3.4L 350,000km on it. leather seats, power everything is working including sunroof and rear window rolls down. cruise.
4x4 works good and seems to be in good shape, breaks were recently redone
has alarm
it needs a new exhaust
brand new 33 inch goodyear duratrac tires on a 2.5 inch body lift(i live in canadian mountains, so wanted something good in snow and also on the back roads)
im quite happy with how it drives on the highway, it feels real smooth and feels like its in great shape, and i was surprised at how smooth it is on the highway with these big 33 inch tires on it. i used to drive a old jeep with 31's and felt terrible on the highway, so real happy about how this 4runner feels so far
a little rust here and there but doesn't look too bad, i dont think the frame is too rusty. i still have to have it inspected before it can be insured.
should i be concerned about anything? the big tires on this thing will it be ok offroading? will the big tires be harmfull for the suspension system? cv joints?
should i be worried about all the power windows failing at some point?
it doesn't have a rear diff locker. should i be concerned about this ?
what kind of exhaust should i put on it to make it better ?
what are some of the more important things i should be worried about this truck in its current shape?
how well will this thing drive on a mountain highway during a blizzard with these big tires on it?
what are the most important upgrades i should add to make this a better offroad vehicle ? (i dont plan on doing anything crazy offroad, like going over big rocks or mudding, but i do want to be able to go up some mountain trails)
should i put a bumper and winch on it?
thank you for any advice, im sure i will have alot more questions, just all i can think of for now.
