rust/corrosion

I searched quite a bit and can't find an answer so thought I'd post a question.

My used vehicle came out of VA and was purchased in PA, so it seems to be real clean. I live outside of Buffalo, NY and drive in all types of crazy weather conditions. Sand doesn't cut the mustard to keep the roads safe here, so salt is used liberally on them. I haven't had a rust problem on the last 2 American made (?!) vehicles, but can some of you colder climate 'salt the road' environment owners let me know if rust/corrosion will be an issue with my 4R? If it's a suspected issue I'll probably opt for an aftermarket undercoating of some sort before the snow flies.

Thanks!

Thanks, good info!

I guess I'm wondering if there is more of a propensity for the 4R to rust than my previous Buicks? Foreign VS Domestic sheet metal, etc. ?
