Storage boxes for overlanding?

Looked around on here and didn’t see anything. Anyone using storage boxes for their off road or overlanding adventures? I was thinking about building a drawer system in my 06 limited 4wd v8 but don’t want to have to run to the 4Runner every time I need something. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I ended up doing both in my rig. I custom made a drawer system, took about a weekend and a couple hundred bucks. I store all the things I’ll know I need on a trip. I’m able to lock my drawers when not in use and even have a small safe in there for my pistol.
I also use a cheap husky clear top bin from Lowe’s to house all the other stuff. Easy to take in and out and relatively cheap.

Nice! I like the small safe idea!

I have a pair of these that I've modified to tie down to my roof rack and they've been great. I've been using them for around 2 years now and they hold up to the weather really well. Been through rain and heavy wind and kept everything nice and dry.

I’ve been eyeing those Plano ones and also the Rubbermaid action packers. Thanks for the info! Good to hear from someone that’s got actual real world use!
