Need Analog Clock
I don't like that our trucks don't have an analog clock. When truck is off, you can't tell time, so I've looked around and secured a clock from a Jaguar I found in the junkyard, but our front trim is not flat, it's kinda curved, so it would not look good. Has anyone tried installing an analog clock in their truck and it worked well? Please share.

Just curious. Where are you planning on mounting it? As far as where to get one, I'd take a look at some Infiniti products. One of their "trademarks" was to have a nice looking analog clock in them. If you can find one, I'm sure it will look good. Can't remember if they have an Infiniti logo on them though, if that matters.
Pretty sure you could pick up a good used one for cheap.
Edit to add: I just looked at a few used Infinitis for sale and it looks like most of them have a big information center/stereo unit instead of the clock. You'll probably have to check on some of the older models if you decide to go this route. I know the Q45's in the nineties had a really nice looking clock.

Dang it, now you've got me thinking about doing this too. If you're interested here's a link to a page full of Infiniti Q45 clocks from different years. https://www.ebay.com/b/Dash-Clocks-f...73/bn_51182462

It's funny you mentioned Infiniti coz I just sold a 2003 Infiniti QX4 truck which had this clock right in center of dashboard. It was nice and convenient.

I had a buddy who used to roll with an analog watch on the spoke of his steering wheel.
Recently I've seen a case to clip an iWatch to the steeringwheel/bike handle bars. for tracing time, GPS and as a remote control for music. I'm sure you could find it on fleabay.
As for mounting a classic analog clock in our rigs If you don't have A-pillar airbags, I'd probably go a gauge pod and classic clock that fit it.
Someone here showed off a really cool set of pods for the 4th gen in another thread:
Craven Speed Gauge Pods - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum
Found a link to the pods:
The FlexPod Gauge Mount for Toyota 4Runner (2003-2009)
Now you just need to pick the 52mm Clock that you like.
Post pics and details with what you end up going with!

Wiring the clock
I'm reviving this thread as I recently got this Infiniti G35 clock with it's wiring connector and I'd like to install it right below the emergency lights switch. I called a shop near by that does auto electric and the guy told me he would charge me $290.00 to connect properly it. I think that quote is outrageous!
Based on what's showing on wiring label I copied from back of connector, does anyone have any idea where to start with wiring?
ILL- : Probably stands for light/negative
ILL+ : Probably stands for light/positive
GRD : Ground
B+ : ??

I agree with your interpretation of the wiring. B+ would need to go to a constant power source so the clock will continue to function even with vehicle power off. Illumination positive can go to switched power, if you want the backlight on anytime the vehicle is on, otherwise it needs to go to something downstream of the light switch to only come on with the lights.
I have to ask, why not just go with any of the gazillion options available in stick-on form from Amazon/others? A quick search of Google with "dashboard clocks" shows options starting around $8....no wiring/cutting involved, just replace a battery occasionally.
You also know we're all wondering why you need an always on clock solution for your 4R? I consider myself a bit old school myself, but even I eventually gave up wearing a watch since my phone is always with me. Cheers!

Thanks for your input. I tried one of those inexpensive stickon clocks from Amazon and the battery lasted for a week, probably the heat damaged it, besides looking cheap and tacky. I also couldn't see it at night. The 4R climate control LCD screen has a clock, but can't see it by day when wearing sunglasses. This is the first vehicle I got that didn't have an analog clock. Yes, I could look at my cell phone to tell time, but how convenient is that especially while driving vs taking a millisecond to eyeball an analog clock? I guess I'm real old school

My aftermarket Alpine stereo has a clock. Have you considered a new head unit? Its not analog but easy to see day/night
