OEM Parts
I've been looking sitewide here for any info about the online Toyota parts dealers. I'm having trouble finding the right board.
I need to get an passenger's side exhaust manifold for my 2008 4.7. I found a place online with good reviews, ordered from them, and they promptly sent me an intake manifold for a Corolla.
I know things happen, but I notified them on 10/26, sent the pictures they asked for, returned it as soon as they sent the shipping label, they received it 11/3, and I just got my money back today, 11/11. They even had the balls to tell me they waived the restock fee as a courtesy since I was upset the refund was taking so long.
So can anyone direct me to the proper place on this site or share with me some places you've had a good experience with? I've found a few places, but I'm gunshy.
The local dealer wants $800 for one...which is above msrp. I want to replace the cracked one with an OEM part.
I'm not interested in buying from ToyotaPartsDeal.com
Thank you, and I apologize if posting this here is a big no-no.

Not sure which dealer you ordered from, but I've had good luck with McGeorge Toyota Parts: Toyota Online Parts | Genuine Toyota Parts | Toyota Parts Online I live on the same state, but its cheaper to order online for some reason haha
If you want to speak with them on the phone, is 804-755-9216 and try to talk with Alex or CJ, Thomas is not helpful.

Are they the ones that screwed up? I've always had good luck with them. Like
@ y=mx+b
said though, McGeorge is another good supplier.
Out of curiosity, why not go with the Doug Thorley headers? I'm a big time OEM guy myself but sometimes aftermarket is better.

If you plan on keeping the 4runner a long time, buy Doug Thorley headers! The OEM replacement WILL inevitably crack again.

I need to replace the cracked manifold asap for a state inspection. I've already received a couple warnings. My luck is gonna run out shortly.
The headers aren't available for at least a month or two.....although I've already burned up 2 weeks with getting the wrong part.
Edited to add....yea, they are the ones that I had a difficult time with. When I contacted them to get return authorization, they told me the manifold was out of stock....then tied up the money I needed to get one from somewhere else.

When I contacted them a couple weeks ago, there was at least a month or so wait time. My original goal was to get the manifold replaced asap so I can get a state inspection. Mine expired almost two months ago.

ANY part you need if you have part number especially, just google it "for sale" and all the dealers will pop up as well as some after market.

I've ordered from both TRDshop.com and McGeorge.
No real complaints from either. I did have a rather longer then normal wait time for an in-stock order to ship from TRDshop.
I've only started order more regularly from McGeorge because their much closer to me then TRDshop (Mississippi v. Virginia).

I typically buy from my local Toyota dealer because I have a fleet account and get wholesale pricing plus sales tax.
But, I have ordered from La Grange Toyota before and they were great. Ordered online and the color didn't match my VIN# (which I did on purpose I needed a black seat trim piece tp match my Clazzio black seat covers) they took the time to call and ask if I wanted VIN match or what I ordered. Which IMO is pretty good for an online sale that amounted to about 3 dollars.
Cheers

I appreciate you all taking the time to reply.
I ordered with McGeorge. They have a very decent price on the manifold and it should be here quickly.
Thorley headers are the long term plan, but for now I need to get inspected. Lots of other jobs I need to do, so I'm looking to get this behind me.
The driver's side was replaced three years ago by the dealer (shortly before I bought it), so I'm hoping to get a few more years out of it before another crack develops.
