Clunking on driver side over bumps?

So I keep getting this clunking over bumps. It sounds like it's on the drivers side and I can feel a clunk in the floor through my foot every now and again. It doesn't matter if I hit a bump on the driver or passenger side it does it. I replaced the away bar links as they were worn. But still clunking. No noticeable looseness in the wheel with the vehicle in the air. I had a mechanic take a look at it and I believe he checked control arms and ball joints while the vehicle was jacked up on the control arm itself and no luck. Idk where this is coming from but it's a annoying

Forgot to mention the cv axle boots on both sides are torn. Maybe the driver side axle makes this noise? Doesn't click what so ever though. Would this make noise even if the passenger side hits a bump?

Could be a lot of things. Could be your cv, suspension, sway bar (bushing), end link (bushing), spare tire holder....

Priority is to get those cv boots fixed.

Sway bar end links are new. I'm going to try doing the sway bar bushings on the frame because they arent too expensive. And see if I can get it back in the air and check further

Sway Bar Frame Bushings. Same thing happened on mine. Cheap, easy fix and stopped the clunking.

I will agree on sway bar bushings as a good guess. I was able to grab my sway bar and move it around enough to recreate my clunk. I was afraid to snap a rusty bolt so I had a shop change mine when it was inspected. They said they didn't think they needed to be changed but I told them to do it anyway. No more clunking.

Check at full droop to see if your UCA are hitting your coils. Mine do

3rd (or 4th) for sway bar bushings, very simple 5-10 minute fix.

OP, did you change your struts out recently? Maybe forgot a washer in the correct position around the top hat? That happened to me recently when someone else assembled some struts for me.

Had same problem over a year ago. Replaced sway bar bushings and went away. Recently it came back again. Re greased the bushings and its quiet again.

Grab the CV and wiggle it. Does it make the clunk?

My truck has been clunking on the driver's side for a while, I finally got under it and poked around and found that the CV's are wiggling/clunking all over the place on both sides. Zero of the usual CV clicking symptoms. Replacing them this evening. I'll let you know if the clunk goes away.

I'm curious about this as well as I didn't think an intact CV would make audible clonks when going over bumps. If they do, I'd think they're broken at one end or the other. But, if they were broken, then you'd get the clicking sounds.
