Didnt know about just flipping the key and letting it start on it's own, OR the stereo on/off trick with the mode button!! Hell, it's only about 1AM here, I gotta go out and try this before I go to bed!!!

I love learning new little tricks on this 4Runner, had it two months now and I'm STILL learning what all this thing can do!!

pre-tension seat belt.

when you have you seat belt still locked in after you kill the ignition, you should hear a click where the belt is fed out of.

If you have to change lanes while applying the brakes, be careful. The belt will hold you down and prevent you from turning to check your blind spot.

Lights will go off automatically after 30 seconds after turning off the vehicle. The 2nd press of the key fob will turn them off immediately. Some of the older cars did not have this automatic feature so they sounded an alarm to remind you to turn them off.

What about the tissue box holder under the center consol arm rest and the grocery bag clips in the cargo area?

Just in case no one has mentioned it, there is a trash bag holder that folds out behind the center console. Plastic shopping bags fit in the frame, but I use one of the hilux surf trash containers. Kind of cool and very useful as I hate having trash in the side door pockets.

see, i never understood the idea of spending extra money on trash bags...

there are specific RULES about trash in my truck...and everyone knows them. The threat of death, is by far more effective and less expensive than some trash bags

When one of your turn signal lights go out it will give you rapid blinking when you turn them on.

If you turn the key to start the engine, you don't have to hold it until it starts. You turn it quickly and release it and the starter will continue until it starts.

i don't think you have it if your 4r has a 3rd row. there would be one hook on each side, left and right, where you could hook the grocery bags. the 3rd-row-equipped 4r's seats are attached to the truck there. go check though because i'm not too sure cuz i have a sport ed.

Don't know if you were joking but if you're not... I believe that's for all cars. I'm not an electrician but it works something like this... if the right rear blinker bulb burns out and you activate the blinker the right side blinkers, the electrical load capacity on the live bulb increases as the burnt out bulb is not drawing any electrical current. The faster blinking is caused by higher voltage going to the relay on the live bulb.
