Hey everyone,
I have a 97 sr5 4wd with the mechanical J shifter and a newly picked up 08 v8 limit 4wd. I love the simplicity of the 3rd gen but the refined bits of the 4th gen. When I tested the 4th gen 4L, it works fine.
I am going to be selling one of these rigs and I wanted to ask how prevalent do these 4th gen transfer case actuators seize up? I don't want to let go of an extremely reliable 3rd gen just to step into a 4th gen where I can expect for some of these high dollar problems to occur.
Any thoughts are appreciated
