How to fix spoiler break light?

I noticed today that my spoiler break light is not working. It had intermittent issues before and I was able to take it out and tighten the cable, but now it seems to be dead for good. Since the light is LED there is no way the bulbs are bad, there is no sign of corrosion, so it seems to be an issue with a solder of the cable inside the housing. However, the whole light enclosure is sealed. Was anybody able to open it up to re-solder the cable without breaking it. I am really not interested in replacing the whole unit.

For those of you who have replaced it, any cheap aftermarket options? Did search but most threads that came up are old.

Interesting, I thought this was a more common issue and I would get some replies. I guess I will just have to start tearing into it. Will take some pictures.

I haven't had any trouble with mine, but this video might be helpful for removal.

edit: just reread your post and see you tightened the cable. Not sure if thats in the spoiler itself and you've already had it off, so if thats the case, just disregard this.

Thanks, yes I had it out before, the problem is that the loose contact is inside the sealed light assembly.
