4th gen rear differential rebuild

Do you guys know of ay good shop in Los Angeles where I can get my 2003 V8 2WD 4Runner rear differential rebuilt at a good price? I wanna do WPC treatment on all the gears. Do you know if the rear differential from another car like the Tacoma or FJ cruiser will fit on my car?

You can use this website to find interchangeable parts. You are looking in the drivetrain category for the carrier assembly. Just select a location and it will show you the interchange options whether or not they have a matching vehicle. Good luck.

If I was to do any rear differential on my 06', I'd get a newer 8.2 axle out of a 2013 FJ Cruiser with the electric locking diff. Especially needed if you're 2wd.

How many miles on your differential?
Did you do a lot of towing?

I did mine at Ramjet in San Fernando, CA. They did it for $600 I think. I had WPC treatment on the internal gears and it is super smooth now. I take corners like a Ferrari.
